What Happens Whilst On Placement?

Arrival Day:

Students will arrive at the airport within our set flight window. There will be a member of staff at the airport to meet you. Our staff will have your flight details so we are always there to meet you when you land.

Once all students arrive, all students and staff take the minibus to our accommodation. You will then be able to relax and get to know your fellow students before a busy week!

Monday:

Morning: Each weekday morning starts with a nice early breakfast in the accommodation. We have a range of cereals, toasts, fruits and yoghurts. If there is anything you would like in particular, you can ask a member of staff. Students will make the 15-20 minute walk into the hospital and be ready to meet their Doctor by 8am. Once we pair you with your Doctor you will shadow them until around 1pm.

Lunch: Once the busy morning placement has finished students have some free time to find some lunch and explore the local area.

Afternoon: Each weekday, around 4pm, our Medical Students will run a session. Monday will typically be an icebreaker and an introduction to university interviews.

Evening: From 7pm onwards students have time to relax, socialise, explore the local area and find some delicious dinner!

Lunch: 1pm onwards students have some free time to find some lunch and explore the local area.

Afternoon: Around 4pm, our Medical Students will run a different session. Tuesday will typically be how to answer ethical questions in interviews.

Evening: From 7pm onwards students have time to relax, socialise, explore the local area and find some delicious dinner!
