Foreign Commonwealth Office

We follow the British governments "Know before you go" campaign, designed to keep students safe and healthy when travelling abroad. All our overseas destinations are selected and vetted for their safety. We follow the British and Commonwealth office travel alerts, US Department of State travel advice and our own head office project team constantly visit our project destinations to assess them ensuring you can concentrate on your work experience and let us take care of the details.

Student Support

Before:

After your place is confirmed, we start the process of getting you fully prepared for your trip. This starts with immediate access to your Medical Projects dashboard - a personalised information pack.

As your trip gets closer we'll send you reminders, run through checklists with you and make sure we are there whenever you have any questions. Before you leave you'll be fully briefed on your destination and looking forward to your project!

During:

Our friendly team of placement co-ordinators and mentors are on hand 24/7 to assist you when needed. They are there to:

  • Provide personal support
  • Pick up and drop you off at the airport
  • Allocate you to a designated department
  • Assist in the running of the afternoon teaching sessions

After:

Your student support doesn't stop after the placement. If you have any enquiries when you get back don't hesitate to get in touch. We can also provide you with a certificate and references if requested.

Our UK med students are also always available if you have any questions regarding the application process for university.

Head Office Support

Our UK head office is open Monday to Friday from 9am - 7pm where parents can call if they need support or have any questions. All students and parents also have our 24/7 emergency contact number incase they need to make contact outside of office hours. Head office receives daily updates from our overseas teams so they can answer parents questions and put their mind at ease. We understand this is often the student's first overseas trip without their parents and we are on hand to answer any question, no matter how big or small.
